Before you begin
The Hotdot provides targeted heat, massage, or a combination of both. It can be used on horses, dogs and other suitable pets.
Most animals accept the Hotdot readily, but introduce it gradually to make their first experience calm and positive. Nervous or sensitive animals may need several short introductory sessions.
Always supervise your animal while the Hotdot is in use. The Hotdot is not a toy and must not be chewed, mouthed or left unattended with an animal.
Charging your Hotdot
Your Hotdot will arrive with some battery charge, although you may wish to charge it fully before first use.
A full charge can take up to six hours.
- The charging light is red while charging.
- The light turns blue when fully charged.
- Replace the dust cap over the charging port after charging.
- Avoid allowing the battery to run completely flat.
- Only charge indoors in a dry environment.
Choosing your setting
The Hotdot has three massage intensities and a separate heat setting.
Massage
Press the massage button:
- Once for low
- Twice for medium
- Three times for high
- Four times to turn massage off
You can also turn massage off from any setting by pressing and holding the massage button.
Heat

Heat and massage can be used separately or together.
Each session lasts 10 minutes, after which the Hotdot switches off automatically.
Which massage intensity should I use?
IMPORTANT
Always begin on low and increase the intensity only if your animal remains relaxed and comfortable.
Low
Best for introductions, sensitive animals and gentle post-exercise sessions.
Medium
A suitable everyday setting for general use and before exercise.
High
Suitable for animals that prefer a stronger massage, horses with a thick coat and some larger animals. High massage will not be suitable for every dog or pet.
