Massage is well known for its ‘feel good’ factor and has been shown to aid relaxation, and assist with the maintenance of healthy muscle and muscle function. Tension is often one of the most common reasons for poor performance. By increasing relaxation and improving back flexibility, the negative effects of tension can be reduced. A relaxed horse, with relaxed muscles, will move with fluidity and suppleness which is particularly important for competition horses performing dressage movements, and those jumping technical fences. What is the material used within the Standard Massage Pad? The Massage Pad is made up of polyurethane, or PU, with foam padding. The PU outer makes the product extremely hardwearing, but also hygienic – which is ideal if it is shared between many horses and ponies. It is resistant to water and grease, but also to fungus. This material paired with the padding also makes it comfortable for the horse. Four massage motors are positioned in the target areas for horses and ponies. There are two either side of the wither and another two just behind the saddle area. The careful design of the massage pad then facilitates the spread of the massage along the back muscle. Who is the Standard Massage Pad for? While this Massage Pad is suitable for multiple sizes of horses, the size who most benefit from the standard size are those 14.1hh – 16.1hh, or in 5ft9 to 6ft3 rugs. Pony and XL sizes are available for horses and ponies either side of that range. You can use the horse Massage Pad before riding, after riding or on a day off! On your horse or pony’s day off as general maintenance. Anytime as a reward. How does the Standard Massage Pad work? The control panel allows you to select low, medium or high settings and as a result, you can choose the intensity of the program to suit your pony. Each program runs through a cycle of three different types of massage – pulsing, vibration and stroking –to ensure all muscles are worked in different ways. Choosing your setting: LOW for cool down after exercise, for a sensitive horse or to introduce the pad to your horse for the first time. MEDIUM to warm up the muscles prior to exercise or for general maintenance. HIGH if your horse prefers a more intense massage. The massage pad will run for 30 minutes before turning itself off automatically however, you can manually turn it off sooner if needed. It can be used on its own or in conjunction with the hand-held Massage Mitt for an all over massage, or the Massage Mitt Hotspot to combine heat and massage. Massage Pad Testing: We take pride in researching and testing our products. The Equilibrium Massage Pad was independently tested by Myerscough College in Lancashire, UK. The results, following six weeks of testing, showed that the massage pad offers significant benefits to horses. What inspired the Litemunch fibre block?

As a company focused on the horses’ wellbeing, we thought it was only right to look at the mental and nutritional wellbeing of our equine friends too! Litemunch is ideal for those on a low sugar or controlled sugar diet, and those who could benefit from digestive support.

What is in Litemunch?

Not just a simple fibre block, Litemunch fibre blocks are made from lush lucerne which is super tasty, nutritious, and ideal to support digestive health.

It also contains additional spearmint, known for its digestive benefits and appetising taste.

Who is it for?

All horses can enjoy a Litemunch fibre block due to its high fibre and low sugar content, including those prone to laminitis. It is particularly useful:

Ways to feed Litemumch hay blocks.

There is no right or wrong way, it’s whatever works for your horse.

As it’s so tasty, most horses are keen to try gobble it down. Feeding Litemunch in a specialised munch net can help slow down those eager feeders. You can also place it in the middle of their normal haynet, so they spend time trying to hunt down the tasty treat!

For oldies whose teeth don’t quite do as well as they used to, or all horses in the winter, soaking the munch block will see it evolve into a warm, tasty bowl full of delicious goodness, right in front of your eyes!

It can of course be fed in the field or stable on its own on the ground or in a bowl. The highly compressed nature of the block will naturally slow eating down and act as a boredom breaker too!

Feeding Guidelines

Use up to 1 block per day per 100kg bodyweight, for example a maximum of 5 blocks per day for a 5kg horse. Can be fed whole from the ground, feed bucket, manger or from a munch net. Always ensure plenty of clean fresh water is available. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Not suitable for elderly or dentally challenged horses unless well soaked.
